Following up on our recent report about the Caterham Group up for sale, the company is officially dismissing this speculation“The Caterham Group is not for sale. We love what we build and we are always looking for further investment. This is no different to how we started AirAsia, ” said Tony Fernandes in a press statement who confirmed that he remained wholly committed to the company.

“Yes, we are constantly challenging ourselves and making decisions on everything from the structure to projects within the Group. That is normal business. That does not mean we are selling,” he added. Caterham also announced this week that it is releasing a special Kamui Kobayashi version of one of its road cars for the Japanese market.

Previously, rumours had been circulating that Tony Fernandas was planning to sell the Caterham Group for RM1.9 billion, which includes the UK sports car manufacturer Caterham Cars Ltd and the Caterham Formula One Team.
