Shell introduces new Shell Advanced AX 5 Scooter Oil

Shell has recently launched a new scooter oil that is specially designed for four-stroke scooter engines called the Shell Advance AX5 15W40 Scooter Oil.

This scooter oil is designed to protect scooter engine in high-stress, stop-start city commuting environments. It features Shell’s innovative technology that promises reliable oil performance, better control via smoother gear changes and higher enjoyment through a low vibration and quieter ride.

Troy Chapman, Cluster General Manager, Southeast Asia, Shell lubricants said that the Shell Advance AX5 15W40 Scooter Oil was formulated with the needs of bikers, specifically scooter owners, in mind.

“The key is a special antioxidant additive that helps removes deposits and maintain viscosity and, thus, keep the oil in peak condition for longer. As a result, you can enjoy every ride with confidence as your scooter is always in tip-top condition and responds to the slightest touch,” said Chapman.

Chapman added that the introduction of the Shell Advance AX5 15W40 Scooter Oil was timely due to the renewed popularity of scooter as a lifestyle vehicle among the younger generation.

The Shell Advance AX5 15W40 Scooter Oil retails for RM21.50 in Peninsula Malaysia and RM22.00 in Sabah and Sarawak.

In conjunction with the launch of the Shell Advance AX 5 4T 15W40 Scooter Oil, Shell Malaysia has also officially kicked off the search for young talented Malaysian riders to take part in the 2015 Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup (SAATC).

In the inaugural competition this year, a total of 22 young riders were hand-picked by the legendary Spanish ex-racer Alberto Puig to competein eight races over six rounds in Qatar, Indonesia, China, Japan and Malaysia. Seven of the selected riders are Malaysian.

“SAATC is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train and race at a very competitive level.  We certainly hope to unearth more Malaysian talents who can, one day, compete at the highest levels of the sport,” said Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd Managing Director Tuan Haji Azman Ismail.

To further promote SAATC, the Shell Advance consumer promotion this year will reward three lucky Grand Prize winners with an exclusive replica SAATC race bike and a VIP experience at the 2014 Malaysian MotoGP at Sepang this October.  There are also 500 SAATC Race Packages comprising an exclusive SAATC jacket and a pack of Shell Advance Ultra 4T oil to be won.

The SMS-based contest runs from 1 May till 1 August 2014 in Peninsula Malaysia and from 1 June till 1 August 2014 in Sabah and Sarawak.  It is open to customers who purchase any Shell Advance 4T motorcycle engine oil including the new Shell Advance AX 5 4T 15W40 Scooter Oil.  Participants need to SMS a unique 5-digit code found on the pack along with the Kedai Kod and answer to a simple question to enter.
