The all-new BMW 220i Coupé sprints from 0-100km/h in 7.0 seconds with a top speed of 230km/h. These figures are combined with an average fuel consumption reading of 6.0 litres per 100km and a CO2 emissions level of 139g/km.

Meanwhile, the sporty driving experience from the all-new BMW 220i Coupé is further accentuated with a new sport automatic transmission which is especially suitable for customers who aspire towards more dynamic styles of driving. Together with paddle shifters on the steering wheel and a Launch Control function, the driver is able to optimise traction while accelerating as the new premium compact Coupé provides maximum dynamic performance from a standstill, especially in motorsport situations.

The incomparable driving pleasure and supreme agility of the all-new BMW 220i Coupé is further emphasised with double-joint spring-strut front suspension and five-link rear suspension with model-specific fine-tuning, as well as electromechanical power steering and a powerful brake system – all of which enables the car to possess exemplary handling in bends and excellent stability on straights. For even more increased agility, BMW customers will also have the option of an M sport suspension with their all-new BMW BMW 220i Coupé. Further customization to the equipment line of the all-new BMW 220i Coupé includes 17” light alloy Star-spoke wheels and exterior trims in High Gloss Black as a further emphasis of the car’s sporty exterior.

In addition to its sporty appearance and natural dynamic performance, the all-new BMW 220i Coupé also combines design, sportiness and functionality with high-quality materials and top-class workmanship to further trigger the passion of driving enthusiasts with a fashionable urban lifestyle. Featuring classic ergonomics, the driver-oriented cockpit is consistently designed for sporty driving enjoyment. An Easy-Entry function for the front seats facilitates access to the two rear seats, which now offers more legroom by an increase of 21mm as compared to the outgoing model, while headroom for the driver and front passenger has grown by 19mm. This remarkably spacious cabin which also exudes unique versatility with a 60/40 split rear backrest is combined with an increase in functionality levels with the all-new BMW 220i Coupé featuring large storage compartments along the inside of the doors and two cup holders positioned in front of the shift lever.

Meanwhile, the all-new BMW 220i Coupé Sport has a dashboard which features sports leather steering wheel with gearshift paddles and cruise control with braking function, and its sporty appeal is further enhanced with High Gloss Black and matt Coral Red interior trim.

The all-new BMW 4 Series Convertible

BMW 04

Benefiting from an exceptionally sporting and elegant look, the all-new BMW 4 Series Convertible is built to be longer and wider than the outgoing model as it stands at 4,638mm long (26mm longer) and 1,825mm wide (43mm wider). Combined with a visibly larger wheelbase at 2,810mm (50mm increase), the front track (1,545mm) and the rear track (1,594mm) of the convertible, which has increased by 45mm and 81mm respectively, will lend this car even greater road presence and dynamic appeal on top of its striking design language.

The first key feature to the design language of the all-new BMW 428i Convertible is its distinctive hardtop which many BMW customers will come to love. In just 20 seconds, the all-new BMW 428i Convertible transforms from an elegant coupé to a highly attractive, dynamic roadster as the all-electrical roof is stowed away in the boot. Its completely invisible roll-over protection system provides an exceedingly elegant convertible silhoutte, and conveniently retracts behind the rear headrests when not in use. Numerous other enhancements have also been done on the tried and trusted mechanical three-part retractable hardtop, including noticeably improved noise insulation and a roofliner with integrated interior lighting.

The top can also be lowered when the convertible is travelling at speeds of up to 18 km/h. The vehicle’s air resistance with the steel top up is 0.28 cd – and it is just 0.33cd when the hardtop is retracted. The redesigned optional windblock is now wider at the sides and smaller, lighter and easier to use and is more effective than in previous variants. When it is not needed, the windblock can be stored behind the rear seat to save space, which is now also a new feature.

Further accentuating the design cues of the convertible is a homogeneous side window design with frameless windows and a hallmark BMW Hofmeister kink at the bottom of the slender C-pillar. Combined with low overhangs, an elongated bonnet, a cabin offset towards the rear, as well as wide spacing of the L-shaped tailights and flared wheel arches, the characteristic silhouette of the convertible sets the car apart in its segment. The all-new BMW 428i Convertible has also been crafted to become apparent in details such as the aerodynamic fine-tuning of the Air Breathers behind the front wheels which will help reduce drag within the front wheel arches, which in turn reduces fuel consumption even further.

The BMW 428i Convertible also has plenty of space in the boot, even when the retractable hardtop is lowered: Unlike earlier models, the new convertible offers wider access to the luggage compartment and an electro-hydraulic loading assistance system pivots and positions the folded hardtop in the boot as needed to ensure maximum utilisation of the 220 litres storage space available. The loading assistance feature ensures that there is always ample access to the boot whether the top is up or down. But that is not all, two storage compartments on the right and left of the main luggage area are also available for stowing small items when the retractable top is closed. When the top is up, the luggage compartment has a volume of 370 litres – which is 20 litres more than available in the BMW 3 Series Convertible.

Even bulky items can be transported with the BMW 4 Series Convertible. A flat and level storage area can be utilised when the backrest of the rear bench seat is folded down. If the car is equipped with the optional load-through feature, even more space is available: Either a wide opening between the rear passenger compartment and the boot, or a smaller opening, for example for golf sets when four people are seated in the vehicle.

Under the hood, the all-new BMW 428i Convertible is equipped with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology for outstanding dynamism and exemplary fuel economy. Housing a 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol engine, the all-new BMW 428i Convertible delivers a maximum output of 180kW/245hp and 350Nm of torque to allow a 0-100km sprint in just 6.4 seconds at a top speed of 250km/h. The fuel consumption is recorded at 6.6 litre per 100km while CO2 emissions are noted at 154g/km.

Further to the all-new convertible’s enhanced performance, the all-new BMW 428i Convertible is also equipped for sporty and dynamic handling which runs on the car’s extremely wide track coupled with a standard electromechanical steering with Servotronic, to provide speed-dependent power steering support. Meanwhile, for drivers with exceptional sporting ambitions, the all-new BMW 428i Convertible also features the Adaptive M Suspension with electronically controlled damper. This enables the car’s operating characteristics to be adapted to the driving situation at hand, enabling drivers to choose between sportslike performance or more luxury oriented set-ups.

Inside the car, the sportiness and elegance of the all-new BMW 428i Convertible is further emphasized by high-quality, ergonomically perfect seating and operating comfort. To feature the typical BMW driver orientation concept, the circular black-panel dials, a free-standing iDrive flatscreen display, and the conveniently accessible iDrive Touch Controller are all located in the centre console of the convertible to allow the relevant controls and switches to be operated intuitively and efficiently. The premium ambience of the car is further highlighted with a sport steering wheel and a one-piece rear seat bench which can be folded down for a continuous surface of extra space in addition to the luggage compartment. Creating a very pleasant, premium ambience whether the top is up or down, the all-new BMW 428i Convertible also presents maximum practicality with a central cup holder and storage compartments.

Made available as standard with the Luxury line, the all-new 428i Convertible will feature 18” light alloy Multi-spoke wheels as well as the luxury line exterior trims in Chrome and an interior trim of Fineline Anthracite with Chrome highlights. Further to that is a HiFi loudspeaker system which is powered with 9 loudspeakers.
