At the Beijing Auto Show next week, Peugeot is set to unveil a four-door sedan concept dubbed Exalt and the images above was sent by accident to the French media yesterday – or so the company claims.
The image above displays a “crude steel and ‘Shark Skin’” textile body, inspired from the Onyx concept unveiled two years ago. The Peugeot Exalt concept is powered by a Hybrid4 all-wheel drive powertrain, capable of producing 335bhp when both electric motor and petrol engine combined. The electric motor also drives the rear wheels independently.
The Exalt concept might gives us a hint at the next generation Peugeot 408. The Peugeot 408 is basically a Peugeot 308 with an added boot. While the new Peugeot 308 is making a huge wave in Europe, it’s just a matter of time before the new 408 makes an appearance on our local roads. Look out for more info about the Exalt concept at the Beijing Auto Show soon!
