The New BMW M4 Convertible

BMW has been synonymous with fast sedans. It always has been thanks to their M series, in particularly the M3 and the M5. Only recently have we seen another joining the fray, which includes the 1M previously and now the M135i and the M235i. But more in particular, the M4. The M4 which is also part of the new range of 2-door coupe versions of the 3-series is new and recently it has been gaining of a lot of traction by being BMW’s car to be used at DTM. It is also MotoGP’s latest safety car.

And now, BMW has decided to chop off the roof of the M4 and present the M4 convertible. Now a lot of folks would enjoy convertibles especially when they live in countries with amazing weather but here in hot humid Malaysia, there aren’t many that choose the option of having a convertible. Pure performance purist will laugh at the fact that the folding roof weighs heavier and wouldn’t want it to affect their balance. But sometimes at the right time, on the right roads and at the right moment, there are times when I do wish I had a convertible.

Other than the folding roof, there aren’t any changes to the car. It still has the twin turbo charged straight six 3.0L engine producing 431bhp, same as the M3.
