Naza Euro Motors, the official distributor of the Citroen brand in Malaysia has just launched the all-new Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (petrol variant) at its on-going roadshow held at Mid Valley Megamall.

This stylish MPV is built on the same EMP2 platform shared with the recently launched, Peugeot 308. The Grand C4 Picasso is identical in width and length to the current model, but is 50mm lower and has a 55mm longer wheelbase. The stretched wheelbase enables more space on the inside for passengers and cargo, and the wider front and rear track also liberates more elbow room, allowing more space for everyone, so your family can now stretch out and enjoy 7 full sized and individually adjustable seats.

Apart from that, cabin ambiance is also lifted with improved material quality, as well as the extensive use of LED ambient lighting. The 3D rear lights are an especially neat touch.

The new Grand C4 Picasso features a wide array of technology too, such as a 7-inch touch screen driver interface, a 12-inch LCD screen with navigation system, park assist with 360 degree camera view, massage function in the driver and front passenger’s seats, keyless entry and start/ stop function as well as full panoramic glass roof with electric-powered shade.  Beyond that, USB socket with iPod/iPhone/iPad connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity for phone and music streaming are also available as standard feature for driver and passengers’  convenience.

Under the hood, power is supplied by a 1.6-litre e-THP 165 engine that produces 163hp and 240Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox that allows quick and fluid gear changes with Quick Shift technology. As a result, the MPV sprints from 0-100 km/h in 10.0 seconds, whilst reaching a top speed of 189 km/h. Fuel economy is rated at  5.6 litres per 100 km (17.3km/l) and performance, gaining 10hp in the process and cutting C02 emission to 129g/km.

The front suspension is fitted with Macpherson Struts to improve ride quality while the rear suspension is fitted with a flexible transverse beam. Other features include electric tailgate, anti-theft alarm, front fog light with cornering function and reverse dipping door mirrors with LED indicators.
